Miami University Libraries Diversity and Inclusion Conference Scholarship
In an effort to promote diversity and inclusiveness and to help ensure the broadest possible participation at the 2021 Miami University Libraries Copyright Conference, the Miami University Libraries are sponsoring a scholarship that will be awarded to an individual from a group that is traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized in the library profession and/or at library conferences. This can include but is not limited to persons of color, LGBTQ individuals, those with a disability, students, individuals from financially disadvantaged backgrounds or institutions, or individuals who work in a library that primarily serves such groups. Scholarships will be awarded that cover the cost of registration.
Financial Hardship Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to help individuals or institutions facing financial hardship. Scholarships will be awarded that cover the cost of registration and are awarded based on a combination of impact and need.
ALVT/deg farrelly Scholarship to the Miami University Libraries Copyright Conference
This scholarship was founded by Academic Libraries Video Trust (a project of Video Trust: the Advocate for Libraries and Film) and is intended to help individuals working in libraries who have been assigned copyright responsibilities that include film, video or other works involving motion pictures. Participation in the 2021 Miami Copyright Conference is intended to expand the recipient’s knowledge of the law. The scholarship is named for the late deg farrelly, a video librarian and co-founder of ALVT, who contributed substantially to scholarship in the area of video and film management in libraries. Scholarships will be awarded that cover the cost of registration and are awarded based on a combination of impact and need.
