Miami University Libraries Diversity and Inclusion Conference Scholarship

In an effort to promote diversity and inclusiveness and to help ensure the broadest possible participation at the 2021 Miami University Libraries Copyright Conference ‘Keynote Week’, the Miami University Libraries are sponsoring a scholarship that will be awarded to an individual from a group that is traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized in the library profession and/or at library conferences. This can include but is not limited to persons of color, LGBTQ individuals, those with a disability, students, individuals from financially disadvantaged backgrounds or institutions, or individuals who work in a library that primarily serves such groups.

Twelve scholarships will be awarded that cover the cost of registration.

Please note that:

  • The recipient’s name will be announced during the conference.
  • This scholarship is not transferable. If the recipient is unable to attend the conference for any reason, they are required to contact the scholarship coordinator, Carla Myers, at myersc2@miamioh.edu.

Ideal applicants will be students, staff, or early to mid-career librarians, though all are welcome to apply. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of impact and need.
